Health Hack: How to Cook Eggs in 3 Minutes

happy eggs

Eggs are pretty close to being the perfect food. Eggs are high in protein, low in carbs, and contain a number of micronutrients that keep our skin, hair, and eyes healthy. They are also high in choline, which is a key component of the neurotransmitter that helps relay messages from the brain to your muscles.

If you are on the go, eggs can be cumbersome to carry around. First, they break and they need to kept cool. Second, making egg-based dishes on the fly can be messy. I want to share with you guys a solution that I found to this problem, because I try to incorporate eggs into my diet everyday, even when things get frantic here at DailyBurn HQ.

You’ll need:

  • 2 eggs (preferably jumbo and farm fresh)
  • A mug
  • A fork
  • A microwave.

That’s it!

Step 1: Get two eggs.

Step 6: Cook for 10 more seconds, then pop out the eggs and place them on a plate.

Eat up! There is virtually no mess. I cook mine every afternoon and they help me avoid the afternoon energy slump.

Note: You can pack your eggs in a food storage container and pad them with paper towels to absorb the shock from your bag. Also, you can pack vegetables to add to your eggs if you want. Just add the chopped veggies during step 4.
