This weekend the DailyBurn trainers and a group of our DailyBurn users got together to participate in the Children’s Cancer Research Fund’s Kids 4 Kids 10k event in downtown Los Angeles.

Established in 1987 by Matti Contopulos, the Children’s Cancer Research Fund is dedicated to providing national support for clinical research in pediatric cancer while improving the medical environment for all children.

The day kicked off early, with the race starting at 8:30 a.m., but everyone was ready to go with a smile.

According to CCRF founder Matti Contopulos:

“This is a spectacular Event as kids of all ages from throughout Southern California participate in a truly fun event with a very special mission: to create a happier and healthier future for all children. With the monies raised, (we’ll make children) happier with supplies for the arts and crafts programs at Paul Newman’s Hole in the Wall Camps, and (we’ll make children) healthier by funding of new grants in clinical research in pediatric oncology. There is no RUN/WALK like this in the country and we feel it has become a national campaign with an incredible impact on pediatric cancer, having raised over $1.6 million in the first six years.”

Congrats to all who participated! It was a great day to get together and celebrate the joy of healthy living.
