ILene Vick is a woman with a mission. She wants average Americans to wake up and take charge of their ballooning bodies. ILene has devised a very user friendly (aka Down And Dirty) plan to help what she calls “the average joe” with limited resources and support. ILene knows just how it can be done. She has recently lost over 80 lbs with the tips that she includes in her new ebook.
ILene Vick is the author of “Down and Dirty Weight Loss – Sane, Uncomplicated, Effective Weight Loss For The Rest of Us – A Method So Good Even My Doctor Took Notice! – Web Content Bonus Material Included”. ILene wrote her book based on a realistic and doable weight loss method she developed that involves the use of our app, DailyBurn. ILene developed a specific method for it’s use, one that resulted in her going from a peak weight of 314 lbs to her current weight (August 2011) of 232 lbs – 82 pounds (and counting) so far.

The amazing thing is, ILene is not athletic, isn’t a “power exerciser,” doesn’t have all that great of an income, leads a sedentary lifestyle and is no longer a “spring chicken.” In fact, in her book she goes on to describes herself as being part of the American epidemic of sedentary, overweight people that you’ll find sitting in the doctor’s office waiting to be treated for a medical condition most likely brought on by a creeping obesity problem. An estimated that 2/3rds of Americans over the age of 20 are currently overweight.
Because so many people were noticing her ongoing weight loss (including her doctor who ultimately wrote a letter of recommendation about it), she thought it would be a great idea to put how she did it in writing. Her goal is to help as many people as she can. You see, ILene is also a Christian writer and she didn’t think it was right to not to share her breakthrough information. To be successful, ILene felt that she needed to find something that would (1) fit her lifestyle, (2) her budget and (3) her level of inclination to do the whole thing in the first place. And having lost 82 pounds (and counting), she obviously did. Believe it or not, ILene’s been so successful with her weight loss and change in eating habits, that now her current battle is making sure that she eats enough on any given day. In other words, she’s been successful in breaking the stranglehold that food used to have over her.
Now her mission is to reach out to all those people who aren’t power (or otherwise) exercisers, are frustrated with their eating habits, their hit-and-miss weight loss programs, and who are (or soon may be) dealing with medical issues because of their weight.
ILene describes her book as being akin to having a “one on one” conversation with the reader in order to help walk them through the process that worked for her. In addition, she chose to be very transparent with her personal information and medical records, going so far as listing all her weights and talking about the onset of a weight related medical condition. In fact, you can even follow her on Twitter where she posts everything that she eats during any given day. Check it out!
Her story is even making the papers as a feature write-up in the Sunday edition of her city’s newspaper which is scheduled for release in early September.
In addition to her writing, ILene loves to teach. In the works is a companion workbook so that she can mentor not only individuals, but doctors (and their patients) as well. This came about because of ILene’s doctor’s stated frustration with his patients’ ongoing weight issues. When ILene shared her method with him, he in turn shared it with his patients, resulting in seven patients immediately jumping on board to use it.
And she doesn’t stop at sharing through her book. She does it as well on her website. For example, she has a video page where she posts tips and tricks to help people out for free. The pictures you see here are from her site. And as you can see, none of them are “professionally” created.
